However, isn’t a fiscally conservative mindset one where WE THE PEOPLE are best able to make decisions on things that will raise our taxes, put us into debt, grant exceptions to our city’s building standards, or take away our personal liberty on what we can do on our own property!
Moody’s piece state that,
“The difference between us [obviously referring to him, Kipphut, & Hatfield] and self-serving people [Hodges, Orchard, Steinhagen] who lack vision could not be clearer.”
Simply put, “THEY have a vision for MC’s future & those who are not on board with them are self-serving!”
It’s a glimpse inside their backward reasoning since Wayne Orchard and I are campaigning to put the vision of the city in the hands of the people, but then again, everything about the political ruling class in MC is backward!
They’ve been trying to paint us as Washington liberals, even though we’re the only ones who are campaigning to limit government, reduce taxes, and get spending back under control, not to mention that we’re all born and bred in Texas and none of us have ever lived in Washington.
They continue to hold to the hope that the people of MC are persuaded by empty rhetoric and character assassination and will not look more closely at the glass house from which they throw their proverbial stones.
The vision for our city should be for WE THE PEOPLE to decide since, after all, it’s THE PEOPLE who will be funding it!
